lax’s career has travelled through several kinds of tournament without losing its central tension. they have spent more of the game in duelist territory, but skye keeps the initiator side active, so every appearance carries a choice between making the first move and helping someone else make it. from oceania tour in 2022 through pathfinder and the recent wave rising tides split 1, that contrast has remained useful rather than decorative.

at wave, lax delivered the most complete version of the idea: strong damage, steady involvement, and enough survival to keep contributing after the opening exchange. the supporting work matters here. assists and continued presence suggest a player who can create momentum without treating every round as a private contest, even when the duel is available. lax is not simply a duelist softened by a few flashes, nor a skye player waiting for permission to fight. their value comes from shifting gears at the right moment, with enough aggression to open space and enough awareness to remain part of what follows.
