oce valorant · ranking snapshot:

skies gives the controller role a more forceful edge than the usual screen of utility suggests. clove and omen make up most of the work, but the jett share matters because it shows where their instincts go when a round offers a chance to take initiative. together, that creates useful pressure from an unexpected place: skies can shape the space for teammates, then become the player who turns that shape into a fight. their damage and clutch conversion make the attacking side of the game more than a stylistic suggestion.

that was already visible in challengers stage two, and rising tides split 2 confirmed the direction rather than changing it. skies is not defined by one spectacular role swap; the appeal is the connection between controller discipline and late-round decisiveness. a smoke can buy time, cut a sightline, or make the next duel possible, but skies still has to finish the sequence. when the round narrows to a few choices, they have shown a useful habit of choosing the consequential one.
